May 24, 2006 - Season opener delayed

With Nijmegen Global Athletics hosting the first in a series of top-level Dutch meetings, it was Hilary's intent to use this as her season opener. However, while travelling back from Portugal she got sick and has decided to delay racing for another week.

" I am disappointed not to be racing in Nijmegen, but I think at this point I need to be smart and get some rest so I don't make things worse," she said. "It's still so early and I have a lot of summer races to look forward to."

Hilary plans to race an 800m in Cottbus, Germany on June 2 as a lead in to a good 1500m in Belgrade, five days later. She has not yet decided on the rest of her summer schedule.
